Founder Plan

Work together better

Founding relationships are amazing.
Sometimes, difficult and painful.
Often, fun and productive.

Working through the difficult, painful moments allows you to reap the fun, productive results! Developing a habit and framework to work through the hard times is impossible to do in isolation.

Communication

Everything begins with communication. Knowing how to say hard things is a hard thing. However, effectively communicating the difficult aspects of a co-founder relationship is one of the keys to productivity. The Founder Plan will give you and your founding partner(s) a language and framework to discuss the hard elements of your business and personal relationship.

Workshops

The Founder Plan utilizes a quarterly workshop method that is tailored to the co-founders and their businesses. Finding time is difficult for entrepreneurs, and that's why we have created 1-2 day workshops. This way you can get the most out of your appointment by working through multiple issues in one sitting rather than trying to piece together multiple hour long appointments over several weeks.

Structure

The quarterly workshops will primarily have 2 different discussion elements. The first discussion will be individually with each founder. In this session, the founders will dialogue about all of the great, hard, and discouraging aspects of their founder relationship.

The second session will bring everyone together in one place to discuss the revelations from the first session. This discussion will be guided by a Founder Plan coach so that the conversation can stay on track and progress in a helpful manner.

The Outside Perspective

When we are stuck within our own thoughts, it is difficult to break out of circular thought cycles. In the same way, patterns can form between business partners over months or years that they may not be able to escape on their own. However, if someone from the outside, and well-trained, comes into this situation and helps them shift perspectives - like breaking free from a dog chasing its tail - then both parties can work more effectively together
